Project Challenges
The construction of temporary access routes enabled us to establish a borrow pit located adjacent to the existing Sirius Creek diversion. Additional sediment basins and open drains were constructed through land remediation to allow for the diversion of high overland water flow.
To further enhance the design detail, mine pit progression and longevity of the delivered product, hydro seeding and topsoil to levee batters were applied with gravel capping to levee crest and rock armoring to levee batters.
