AE Group were engaged to undertake the bulk earthworks of the GC09 package as part of the stage 1 development of the Wiggins Island Coal Export Terminal (WICET) which is located approximately 12km north-west of the city of Gladstone.

The GC09 construction package covers the bulk earthworks and civil works south of Hanson Road (Gladstone-Mt Larcom Road) and comprised:

Overland conveyor earthworks and pavements
Reclamation Area C dredge bunds
Rail Receival Access civil works
Rail Receival bulk earthworks

The project included the following scope:

875,268m³ bulk earthworks
77,235m³ drainage blanket production and placement

Overland conveyor earthworks and pavements

Queensland Rail Receival Access Civil Works
